Start with constraints

For UST systems, screen choice is a geometry problem as much as an image-quality problem. Ultra-short-throw projectors send light upward at a steep angle, so screen material intended for conventional long-throw projection is not automatically interchangeable with a UST ALR surface.

Then add the room: windows, ceiling lights, wall reflections, seating width, desired image size and whether the screen can remain permanently mounted. Those constraints usually eliminate more options than brand labels do.
